(Re)christening Post

January 28, 2009

In the tradition of mommy bloggers giving pseudonyms and providing  anonymity to their kiddos, I decided there’s no need to subject my kitties to the big bad world of the blogosphere.

Since most humans have respectable names like Ramakrishnan or some such, a nickname like Bittu or whathaveyou is easy to conceive. But what do you do if your terrors are already named Chunnu and Munnu (they’re not, I’m not that idiotic to reveal their names in an effort to make them anonymous).

I decided that their blog names need at least maintain a modicum of filminess that their original names have. And give a sense for who my husband and I are and how our realm of imagination doesn’t go much beyond Bollywood.

So my little terrors, I hereby christen you Veeru and Basanti! Many more V&B posts to come. For today we’ll just tweetiecelebrate the birth of their pseudo-names.

This is them playing, rather assaulting their tweetie bird toy.

Caught redhanded but look ohso innocent.

are we to assume they have the personalities to match their names? 🙂

They have more of their “real” name personalities but there are bits of Veeru and basanti in them too. Should do a post, no?

    🙂 Sholay is good anyday.
Nino was called Gabbar by one particularly irritating cousin bro of the husband for the longest time. Not because he was mean and hadn’t brushed in days. Because Nino was a complete no-sleep child, hence the dialouge – ‘so jaao, varna gabbar jaag jaye ga’.
